Sie haben den Wettlauf mit der Zeit wohl verloren: am 14.08. war nach Hitze und Starkregen zwar noch Wasser in dem Tümpel, aber keine einzige Kaulquappen mehr. Die anderen Tümpel am Nordweg, in denen Ende Juli noch mindestens ebenso viele Kaulquappen waren, waren alle komplett ausgetrocknet.
