Es ist eine Blumekohlqualle, auch Wurzelmundqualle genannt. Ihr Schirm kann blau bis milchig-weiß gefärbt sein. Ganz typisch ist der dunkel abgesetzte Schirmrand und der im vergleich zur Nesselqualle sehr dicke Schirm.
